Columbia Bank’s Warm Hearts Winter Drive was launched on December 1, 2015, to help benefit homeless shelters in local communities across the Northwest. The program rallied local communities to make cash donations and provide new warm winter wear, including gloves, scarves, coats, socks, shoes, mittens and hats for adults and children at any Columbia Bank location. It was an instant success, raising $130,000 in the first 30 days.
To date, through generous donations from our clients, employees and friends in our communities, we’ve raised over $841,000. This year, we’ve set our annual fundraising goal at $250,000 to surpass raising over $1,000,000 in five years for our shelter partners.

The enthusiasm and generosity of our communities has been truly inspiring. Because of their support, and the support of our clients and sponsors, we’ve been able to provide thousands of warm winter wear items and much needed funds to shelters and providers throughout the Northwest. Columbia Bank employees across our network of branches in Washington, Oregon and Idaho are actively involved in raising funds and collecting warm winter clothes for those in need. The collective impact has been profound for thousands of our neighbors who have received shelter and warm clothing during the coldest months of the year.
